Hargrove has the capability to design and select equipment including ASME code vessels, tanks, material handling/conveying, packaging systems, compressors, vacuum systems, blowers, chillers, compressors, boilers, batching/blending systems, and pumps. The firm can also design for fire control, code compliance, energy analysis and management, and commissioning.
We have expertise in fixed equipment and in rotating and reciprocating equipment specification, procurement, and guarding within complex industrial process facilities. Our mechanical engineering design teams specialize in heating, ventilation and air conditioning design (HVAC), refrigeration and boiler design, dust collection and industrial ventilation, mechanical fluid systems and fluid dynamics, heat transfer, firewater systems, form giving (compactors, pelletizers, and extrusion), and reliability. In addition, our procurement team works closely with our design team to purchase quality equipment and direct fabrication.
Our piping team’s expertise includes piping specifications, racks and sleeper design, plot plans, equipment arrangements, pipe specifications, stress analysis, isometric drawings (ISOs), tie-ins to existing facilities, field verifications, as-builts, Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and P&ID support, and working with the client and across-disciplines for layout optimization. They also possess experience with high pressure and high temperature systems. Because of our heavy retrofit experience, we have our own laser scanning equipment and a full-time laser scanning team dedicated to industrial measurement and integrating scans into 3D modeling software.
