On Thursday, November 13, The Community Foundation of South Alabama presented Hargrove Engineers + Constructors with their inaugural Beacon Award. The Beacon Award recognizes a group or individual that embodies the spirit of philanthropy, inspiring growth and progress in the community. The award was presented to Hargrove Engineers + Constructors Mobile Operations Leader Roy Duncan, PE, by Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson and Community Foundation President and CEO Rebecca Byrne at a reception held in Hargrove's office in downtown Mobile. Hargrove Engineers + Constructors are innovators, leaders, and team builders, creating a culture of giving among its employees. They have established a foundation, making donations for many causes in our area including cancer research, sponsoring and coaching school athletics, helping clean up after natural disasters, and training tomorrow's leaders in robotics, engineering and technology, said Kimberly Nichols, Marketing and Communications Manager, Community Foundation of South Alabama. Our Hargrove Teammates work hard in executing successful projects and they believe in sharing this success by being good stewards within the communities we serve, said Roy Duncan, PE, Hargrove Engineers + Constructors Mobile Operations Leader. Our Teammates constantly seek out opportunities to give back any way they can, and this award is a reflection of their commitment to helping those in need.
